Our Practice in Winnipeg

Dr. Driedger was raised in Manitoba but educated in Tennessee. A southern belle at heart, she has a knack for treating her patients like family.

Dr. Driedger is a certified “eye-nerd” and relishes the opportunity to collect anything eye related. She has an eye for style and will happily show you her collection of fashionable eyewear.

In optometry school, Dr. Driedger was voted “most likely to have a pink office” and loves the fact that her classmates’ predictions came true when she opened View Pointe in 2019.

Outside of work, Dr. Driedger is a proud dog-mama to Bella + Lola. She is an avid traveler that lives for stamps in her passport, Starbucks mugs in her cupboard and happy patients in her chair. Dr. Driedger is currently accepting new patients.

Sally is enjoying semi-retirement, but also loves spending time at View Pointe where she is affectionately known as “office mom”. She takes care of the behind-the-scenes accounting and administration and happily helps wherever she is needed.

Outside of work, Sally is a proud wife and the mom of Dr. Driedger. She loves spending time with her fur-grand-babies, Bella + Lola and cheering on the Jets (even when they are losing). Sally loves to garden; she has the greenest thumb you will ever meet. She loves going for long walks and is happiest under a palm tree listening to the ocean breeze.

Navdeep has been in the optical field since 2018. She has worked as both an eyewear consultant and lab technician and is responsible for most of the complete glasses creations here at View Pointe. Navdeep loves life and it is evident through the singing and dancing she does around the office. In her spare time, she enjoys writing poetry and indulging in McDonald’s (her absolute favourite!) Navdeep can help translate your optical experience in 4 languages (Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and English) and she hopes to take her love of the field to new levels by becoming a licensed optician in the near future.

McKenna is a long-time patient of Dr. J’s, but a new addition to the optical community, having been part of team View Pointe since 2023. McKenna is a student at the University of Manitoba, working on completing her Bachelor of Science degree so that she can pursue the next step in her career – becoming an Occupational Therapist! Originally from Thompson, Manitoba, she is loving the “big city life” in Winnipeg. McKenna really is the “jack of all trades”; she danced for 12 years, she’s worked in IT for the past few summers and if there is a new task to be learned, you can bet McKenna is up for the challenge and will have mastered it in a flash! In her spare time, McKenna enjoys doing puzzles (the more pieces the better) and likens herself as a Starbucks Connoisseur.

Sue is our licensed optician on staff. Although new to View Pointe, she is no stranger to optical, having worked in the industry since 1989 and being a licensed optician since 2015. Sue is an avid outdoors-adventurer. She spends many summer days at her trailer on Lac Du Bonnet and she loves all the outdoor activities including biking, hiking, kayaking and enjoying a bonfire. Sue is a wife, a mom, a grandma and a fur mom and she loves spending time with her grandkids, especially getting to pick them up from school! Sue is a master glasses adjuster and repair artist! She’s up for any glasses challenge you may have. She has worked with Dr. Driedger in the past and is excited to bring her skills to View Pointe and to help you with all your eyeglass needs.
